Guillaume CERNIER commented on MJS-46:
--------------------------------------
When we would need something ? I would say ASAP :)
We use MJS for testing purposes (mostly the JSTestRunner part) so it's not
really blocking for releasing on our side.
But, due to this situation, by default the tests are deactivated and can be run
manually as on dev machines we can workaround the Codehaus-Snapshots limitation.
But, in order to make them activated in our Continuous Integration system, we
need to have such release of the plugin. And those tests are very important for
us in term of quality and confidence in our JS code.
But, do it when it will be possible for you ; the earlier will always be the
better :)
> Would it be possible to freeze a release (2.0.0 ?) instead of SNAPSHOT
> version for javascript-maven-plugin

> Hello,
> In fact, it seems that there is not any release version for
> javascript-maven-tools / javascript-maven-plugin artefacts.
> This is a problem in companies like mine where Nexus/Maven policies,
> following the best practices, are to not depend on SNAPSHOT versions of
> 3rd-party libraries, for obvious reasons of build stability.
> As you can see, even for the 2.0 "release" (mentioned here :
> http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MJS/fixforversion/18220), there is no
> javascript-maven-plugin artefact in the Codehaus-Releases repository :
> while, of course, the 2.0.0-SNAPSHOT well exists in Codehaus-Snapshots :
> Thanks in advance.
> Best regards,
> Guillaume
