Hi Javier,

How do you write "OpenOffice.org" in Khmer?
http://openoffice.exblog.jp/7614509/

I think there are two ways to translate "OpenOffice.org" into other
languages using their letters.
(1). To take the meaning of "Open" and "Office"
(2). To take the sound of it and write letters which sound close to
English pronunciation.

We Japanese usually don't do (1). If we dare to do, it looks like:

開放事務所.org

This doesn't appeal to many Japanese people. So we do (2).

オープンオフィス.org

Problem is ".org" part, "dot org," meaning "Organizaiton."

We Japanese can write it like ".組織" or ".団体" or "ドットオルグ" but the first
two look not very good and the last one does mean almost nothing.

How about Khmer? Can you write "OpenOffice.org" in Khmer?

Thanks,
khirano
