But no-one is suggesting that! I'm pretty sure we'd get a flurry of -1's, including from me, if we proposed stopping the ability to code against and build on Java 8. All the options here are affected by what JDK the IDE is running on, not what JDK you're coding for - eg. I've got multiple JDKs. 8, 11 and 14 set up as platforms to work with in the IDE.
