The NetBeans Platform for Beginners on leanpub.com is great and everything

Too expensive for me.

About the tutorials, which specific ones are we talking about? Can you
provide URLs to specific documents that you have found to be problematic?

https://netbeans.apache.org/tutorials/nbm-quick-start.html - Maven version just plain wouldn't build for me due to dependency issues. Followed the tutorial by starting with a non-Maven project, but the text and images are riddled with errors (incorrect codename bases and similar). I'm planning to do an editing pass on the source to submit as a PR.

https://netbeans.apache.org/tutorials/nbm-htmleditor.html didn't build at all -- was a week or so ago, so I don't remember the details, but I'm happy to try an alternative approach and submit a PR again.

I've looked at others, all seem to need at least minor edits (like updating platform version no's, etc.) and updated images where UIs have been changed.

In general I'm happy to spend some time reviewing (which all pages are tagged as needing) and editing, running through the tutorials to check that (e.g.) versions of libraries used are still usable if that's still considered useful.
