+1 Making sure this option isn't broken, and hopefully has a better UI, is why I think we should punt this forward to NB 13. I assume we can at least ship nb-javac while still allowing for it to be disabled in the plugin manager? However, I'm currently running NB 12.5 with nb-javac installed, and it shows in Plugins as not installed. So there's something awry there already!
