And on the other hand, PHP support and plugins were not compatible across the whole of the 12.x series - https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NETBEANS-5064 Of course, we're not trying to have two concurrent versions any more, so it depends if we're happy to have a plugin catalog that fully supports current+next only? It would simplify things. Either way - one catalog or automatic / faster upgrade of verification - we need a decision from plugins people (hence [PLUGINS] tag) this week. Or there won't be any plugins in NB15. I put a workaround in at NB14 branch to use the previous catalog. That workaround shouldn't have still been needed by release time, but if I correct it now there will still be no plugins in 14. I still wonder if we'd be better managing the catalog xml in a git repo?!
