Hello, Once the first project opens, NB will open the Projects and Files tabs (logical and physical project view as they are called in the implementation, now with tooltips #8786).
I think we should also open the Favorites tab in the same tab group, since it serves as view for non-project based use cases (also #8798 for adding the project dir by default). It might get tight in that tab group since the Services tab is there too, so this might mean that we move it over where the Navigator is, or possibly not open Services by default? (I have it usually closed or at least minimized and generally don't use it very often) As stretch goal I would want to open the Favorites tab on first file open additionally to first project open, but I am not quite sure how to do that yet. This might be interesting for education and "compact java file" use cases which don't need projects (yet). best regards, michael --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: dev-unsubscr...@netbeans.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: dev-h...@netbeans.apache.org For further information about the NetBeans mailing lists, visit: https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/NETBEANS/Mailing+lists
