The tab names would probably have to remain a single word each, or they will 
end up being abbreviated.

One idea would be to combine Favorites and Files, by having a single tab that 
shows a union of folders from the two. That way there won't have to be 4 
different tabs. Perhaps favorited folders could have a "pin" badge on them to 
distinguish them from folders that are showing automatically due to belonging 
to a project.

Having a visible button for the Add to Favorites action would make it easier to 
discover. Right now it's only accessible from the right-click context menu.

This would be a no-go for me. From my perspective it is in a good
location and work. Closing the tab is one-click. Finding that it exists
when closed is hard.
