The tab names would probably have to remain a single word each, or they will end up being abbreviated.
One idea would be to combine Favorites and Files, by having a single tab that shows a union of folders from the two. That way there won't have to be 4 different tabs. Perhaps favorited folders could have a "pin" badge on them to distinguish them from folders that are showing automatically due to belonging to a project. Having a visible button for the Add to Favorites action would make it easier to discover. Right now it's only accessible from the right-click context menu. -- Eirik From: Matthias Bläsing <[email protected]> Date: Monday, September 22, 2025 at 5:25 AM To: [email protected] <[email protected]> Subject: Re: [DISCUSS] Open favorites tab by default (post first launch experience) Hi, Am Sonntag, dem 21.09.2025 um 16:26 +0200 schrieb Michael Bien: > I think we should also open the Favorites tab in the same tab group, since it > serves as > view for non-project based use cases (also #8798 for adding the project dir > by default). sounds ok to me. > It might get tight in that tab group since the Services tab is there too, so > this might > mean that we move it over where the Navigator is, or possibly not open > Services > by default? Closing the tab is one-click. Finding that it exists when closed is hard.
