Hi all,

Please vote on releasing Apache NetBeans 9.0 Beta (incubating) rc2! If
this voting passes, another similar voting will be started on
gene...@incubator.apache.org, and if that passes too, then we can
release this version.

I know I'm not being active in NetCat testing for a long while, but I can
use few hours this week for J2EE testing.
Does this version works with 8.2 plugins? I can test the RC2, but only
having certain plugins that are requirement for our daily job (like GWT4NB).
If this is not the right place to ask, I'll just wait and see.

Please, read the vote announcement again.

The Beta release is all about IP clearance. It is not about features
and Java EE has not been donated yet anyway, so what you're writing
here makes no sense -- can you not reply immediately and, instead,
read the e-mail at the start of this thread again, a few times?

Thanks,

Gj

I did. And to be completely honest, it was not clear to me. That's why I've asked - is better to ask than die on ignorance. Also, I've not replied immediately neither left reading before the end. You've built a series of wrong assumptions here.

Just to remember, "J2SE related" would a large variety of exotic animals (for instance, WebServices are J2EE, but you can have them in J2SE: so there is or there is not WebServices available?) - and you have not explicited in your "not so verbose" announcement mail that J2EE (neither J2ME) would or would not be available.

I would reccomend you to review your writing style instead. Communication skills are very important for someone reposible for communication. Maybe a "feature matrix NetBeans 9.0 x Java Technologies" or at least between "NetBeans 8.2 x NetBeans 9.0" would have evicted my question.

But I've understand the bottom line - and I'll not disturb anymore. I withdraw my offer to work a few hours this week. Just remember that this kind of answer you sent to someone who asked a legitimate question is not the best way to build a strong community. I've been a active contributor in the past, but I'll think twice before voluteering to work with you again.

Wish you the best,

Edson
