If you apply the patch, you will see that the factory method is already there
in the ModelWidget class. All we need is the rendering classes.
No, none of this has been committed. I am working on an improved patch that
will be based on the discussions here and I will submit it to this Jira issue
for review when it is ready.
We will need new ModelWidget subclasses to add support for Dojo - check the dev
mailing list for "Discussion: Screen Widget XML format to support 3rd party
rendering libraries".
