The big deal is in recoding everything. Your comment reminds me of one of
David's favorite expressions - "So what if it isn't perfect, we can always
refactor it later" - as if we have all the time and resources in the world to
do refactorings.
Btw, it's not a "fracas" - it's a gentlemanly disagreement. ;-)
