Hi Jacques & Scott:
Sounds like a plan. Thanks for looking into this.
That kind of information could be very useful.
BTW, how will the list know when the project is fully migrated? That is, when could we expect to see something like this?
Regards,
Ruth

Hi Ruth,

I think it would be best to wait until everything has been fully migrated to Apache's infrastructure, once that has been done the simplest thing we could do is to request that our project be added to this page: http://people.apache.org/~vgritsenko/stats/projects/index.html

I don't believe our downloads are being served from Apache servers yet so the statistics would be of no value to you at this stage.

Scott

Hi Jacques:
My apologies to David and anyone else who may feel pressured by my persistence. Who should I ask to do this?

Ruth,

Sorry not much time to answer tonight. Just don't ask and put pressure on David, 13 persons are PMC members. And most are active

BTW, at some point we will have to do our own scripts (luckily we have already some, thanks to Tim). It will be quicker : I don't know how Gavin (infra team hard worker) cope with all he has to do.... as a volunteer...

Keep in mind however that only PMC members can make infrastructure requests.

You will need to get with Apache Infrastructure as a request. I also do not think you should put the counter on the page, but instead have the counter be something we have access to do update documentation and use appropriately.

Hi Tim:
Again, thanks for the quick reply. Should I just keep checking the site to see when someone might get around to putting the download counter on it? Or, should I request that a site administrator put a download counter on that web page?
TIA
Ruth

Yes - that would be the idea. It's not old - it's just not the current one so we haven't updated the text yet - per another thread here where Jacques and I were commenting.

Hi Tim:
OK, I'm really stupid. I don't see where you might be referring to. This points me to an (old - I presume since it still says to use Java 1.5) download site. Are you saying that at some point, someone will put a download counter on this or a similar page?
TIA

First, thanks for the prompt reply. Could you please resupply the link?

No - I don't think those statistics are in place, but it is something we can do when we get this moved over to the ASF infrastructure - which should be really easy. I sent out a link to it this weekend - check it out and let us know how it works for you.

Hello David and Other List Members:
Is there anyway to tell how many downloads have occurred recently (last month, 6 months) at the "official" OFBiz download site: http://build.ofbiz.org?

TIA
