- 1 Accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AP) are together with the ability to process accounting transactions the core ingredients of a good FICO solution. Without both any accountant will state that your accounting solution is worthless. Without both core accounting components you (as a company) would have no overview of money owed to you or that you owe to others.
