For now,I can't agree with the proposal to deactivate all special-purpose components by default, merely because we can't seem to be able to work around the inability to define download specifications for certain external libraries in specific components.
Deactivations by default will lead to the same troubles we had with the convenience packages of the 13.07 releases.
