Hi all,

Checked the tracking issue and it is a “+1” for my side considering graduating
OpenDAL as TLP.

The OpenDAL community from my view is mature, healthy, and responsive. The
community is well-governed under the ASF’s process and principles. It not only
enjoys many technical talents, but also has very mature governance.

I think that it’s time for OpenDAL to move forward to the next step as a TLP.
It has always been delightful for me to be one of the community members.

Looking forward to the thoughts of all members.

Best,
Xinyou Ji

Subject: [DISCUSS] Graduate OpenDAL as TLP?
Hi, all

OpenDAL began its incubation journey on February 27, 2023. Since then, our
community has significantly matured.

- Currently, our community consists of 19 committers, including mentors, with
12 serving as PPMC members.
- At present, we boast 161 contributors.
- Throughout the incubation period, we've made 9 releases—averaging at least
one per month.
- We've had 7 different release managers to date.
- Our software is in production use by 10 known entities and is a dependency
for 255 GitHub projects and 17 crates.io packages.
- To date, we have opened 1,177 issues with 1,055 successfully resolved.
- We have submitted a total of 2,351 PRs, out of which 2,346 have been merged
or closed.
- We have met all maturity criteria as outlined in [1].

Do you think we are ready for graduating as a TLP?
