There is a proposal for BeanShell to join the Apache Incubator: http://wiki.apache.org/incubator/BeanShellProposal
BeanShell is one of the Apache OpenOffice build dependencies, currently minimally maintained, and it would be good to have it at Apache too.
Pedro helped a lot in bringing BeanShell to the incubator and is one of the initial committers. If anybody is interested, please join too!
