This is indeed very interesting numbers, our user base are there and have
expections of what we deliver.

With this motivation injection, we should start putting the foot down on
the speeder and accelerate the growth of our project.

With that many users believing in us, we should deliver and not just talk.

apacheCON is in less than a week away, tuesday will have a official AOO
meeting for everybody (except timewasters according to some), I personally
look forward to that meeting. On this list I can only speculate that
hopefully the PMC will get together, and show a strong front with responses
on how to move forward. We as a project need a PMC that stand together and
show the world (and the community) how great a product we have....and more
importantly show by example how we can accelerate our development.

Even though I am no longer PMC (at my own will, due to reasons that should
be obvious), I still care a lot about the project, and want to help it back
into being the big success it once was (remark I wrote project, not PMC).

looking forward to see hopefully a lot of you in Budapest (just look for a
big viking).

rgds
