As far as I know, confwatch is mandatory, too. In theory, at least. In
practice, I doubt anybody is running it, given its reliability.

Which brings me to a very favorite topic of mine: We urgently need to
possibility to run all kind of automated tests (testtool tests,
confwatch tests, UNO API tests, performance tests, complex test cases -
more, anybody?) in an easy way. Currently, this is *a lot* of manual
work, and not remotely reliably (some test infrastructures are
semi-permanently broken, and some tests produce different results on
subsequent runs, which effectively makes them useless).

As a consequence, a lot of those tests are not run all the time, and the
bugs they could reveal are found too late.

Ciao
Frank
