bq. to a separate HBase 1.4 code line (after HBASE-15816 is committed to
branch-1), since hopefully that will also encourage the release of HBase 1.4. I
have JIRAs that have been sitting in there for a year.
I volunteered to RM a 1.4 code line over on dev@hbase today, and if this is
acceptable, I will make the branch and start releasing regular snapshots from
it as early as next week.
