We have discussed the idea of allow each blog to specify the template
to be used to generate it's RSS/Atom feed. It is a good idea, but we
never designed or implemented a solution.

It should be very much the same. What is the difference?

Setting a stylesheet for a feed is not really necessary now that
browsers handle feeds so nicely.
