Actually I just realized an issue with GC cleaning up the cache. The problem is 
we have variables cacheImageNum, and cacheSequenceNum that need to be reset 
everytime the cache is cleared. So if GC clears the cache, we will be in a 
state where cacheImageNum, and cacheSequenceNum are holding invalid values.
