Hi all, At OSGi work has been going on for some time to create the Feature Service specification. This specification is inspired by the Sling Feature model and other similar technologies. The spec is aimed to be finished next month and a draft can already be seen here: https://osgi.github.io/osgi/cmpn/service.feature.html
We have been working on what is called a 'Compatible Implementation' of this spec in the Sling Whiteboard: https://github.com/apache/sling-whiteboard/tree/master/osgi-featuremodel As OSGi is now hosted at Eclipse this means that there is no longer a 'Reference Implementation' but the process needs one or more 'Compatible Implementations'. The implementation currently at the Sling Whiteboard could be this. To prepare this implementation so that it can be released and be a proper component, I would propose that it moves out of the Sling Whiteboard into its own repository at Apache Sling.
