ok, thought about this some more as I tried implementing things, and I found
there really is no good
way to add in the run_temp_file variable. it's already done in the code (opt_j
> 0), so adding in an
option actually just makes it more messy without bringing anything else to the
table.
so in the end, I think this has been a good examination of the previous
decision, so I'm just going to
close the ticket now. the opt_j to something else renaming bit can be done in
another ticket. :)
