And from what I can see, bgsend making a new socket does seem to make a new source UDP port each time. And even then if we're doing this by incrementing a counter we'd still need to wrap round the whole 64Kib space. By the time you've reached 65536 DNS lookups, the nameserver will have timed out your previous query. All these combined mean I believe it would probably be a non-issue.
