yes, that's definitely a good idea.  this patch includes it.

FWIW, I found another couple of issues when applied to b3_1_0; lint_warn() is
not available, so uses "warn" instead; and "t/trust_path.t" requires a fix that
was applied to 3.2.0 but not 3.1.x, namely JGM's patch allowing the Mail::SA
object to be recreated multiple times in the same process, so I've set it to be
skipped. 

It's still there so it can be manually edited and run if required though -- it
does work but is noisy.

damn, 3.1.0 is *really* far away from 3.2.0 at this stage.
