100% of the time I recommend reverting to a known good update using the very automated procedure as documented here:

Remember though, revert to a known good update if at all possible. Patching updates manually usually leads to another bad update with bad rules or fixes in it.
FYI, I thought about reverting to a known good but I viewed that for 3.3.2, the initial tested release rules file had the issue so I didn't feel we had a previous version to revert to and the issue was low priority so waiting was the best scenario. I know that the rules engine is highly dependent on a lot of cogs and even trying to run the nightly mass check early will bomb out because their are time checks if I remember correctly.

Michael, can you use the rules tar for 1140483 (http://sa-update.pccc.com/1140483.tar.gz) and replace the rules tar that was released with 3.3.2 on the website? We really don't want that rules tar being used.

KAM
