I second @erikdw .
It would be better which part(s) this patch covers in STORM-2153. I can see
various and numerous discussions from STORM-2153, and also various sub-issues.
At a glance, this patch only covers several sub-issues, not exhaustive.
My first thought is, I guess this is not going to be a replacement with
built-in metrics, right? While we have issue on metrics consumer side, but my
observation (concern) was mainly focused to built-in metrics.
