First, I want to say that the Struts 1.3.5 assembly is a marvel of Maven engineering.
* http://people.apache.org/builds/struts/1.3.x/assembly/ It's all there, simple as pie. /docs /lib /src /webapps NOTICE.txt LICENSE.txt My only question is: Does size matter? Zipped, the 1.3.5 snapshot is 40.8mb. Zipped, the individual components come to docs.zip - 11.5mb lib.zip - 2.8mb src.zip - 5.8mb webapps - 20.5mb Do we want to offer these archives separately, in addition to the combined snapshot? I'm not suggesting that we fuss with the build right now. I can just zip these up by hand from the big snapshot and drop in the NOTICE.txt and LICENSE.txt files. Thoughts? Meanwhile, offhand, does anyone know why the 1.3.5 distribution has doubled in byteage? The comparable numbers for 1.2.9 seem to be combined assembly, 22mb docs, 2.1mb lib, 1.3mb src, 8.2mb webapps, 10.1mb I could dig a bit more, but wanted to check with the group first. (Or, as Jason says, it's just that 1.3.5 is twice as good!) -Ted. PS: There's still a bit to do with Checkstyle patches, sorting out "embedded" Tiles, and doing some type of documentation for the apps, but we are very close to tagging and rolling. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
