that should not matter, maybe it is not loading your .properties file. Make sure you do an mvn clean install..just to satisfy the maven dark gods, if it still fails, try to set it in to struts.xml. I have been using it in last few days for a demo and it was working fine for me (tm): http://www.codeodor.com/images/works-on-my-machine-starburst.png :)
