Hi all,

The Apache Texera (Incubating) PPMC is pleased to announce the release of
Apache Texera 1.1.0-incubating.

This is the first release of Apache Texera as an Apache Incubator project.

== About Apache Texera ==

Apache Texera (Incubating) is an open-source system for human-AI
collaborative data science that uses visual workflows. It enables analysts
to construct, execute, and refine data analysis tasks through an intuitive
GUI, assisted by AI agents that understand natural-language instructions.
Texera is well-suited for a wide range of applications, including "AI for
Science", by making advanced AI and data science capabilities accessible to
a broader community. It can run on a laptop for local use or be deployed in
the cloud to support scalable processing of large datasets.

For more information, please visit https://texera.apache.org/.

== Highlights ==

* Repository and license compliance - added ASF license headers, asf.yaml,
NOTICE, and DISCLAIMER files; resolved outstanding license issues.

* TexeraAgent - an LLM agent that helps users construct workflows using
natural-language instructions.

* Revised system position as "Human-AI Collaborative Data Science
Using Visual Workflows".

== Disclaimer ==

Apache Texera is an effort incubating at The Apache Software Foundation
(ASF), sponsored by the Apache Incubator. Incubation is required of all
newly accepted projects until a further review indicates that the
infrastructure, communications, and decision making process have stabilized
in a manner consistent with other successful ASF projects. While incubation
status is not necessarily a reflection of the completeness or stability of
the code, it does indicate that the project has yet to be fully endorsed by
the ASF.

Many thanks to all the contributors who made this release possible, and to
our Incubator mentors for their great guidance.
