One thing that might help is checking the blast radius before merging, what the change touches, shared dependencies, CI/CD, config, production-facing code, etc. A change can be easy to revert but still have a pretty big impact before you get the chance to roll it back. Alternatively, you could run the change through Tomosu to get a production-risk signal before shipping it. Might be useful for the “how safe is it?” part of the guide.
