lgtm, I like the new approach. I'm +1 on the gremlin-javascript implementation.
On the C# side, I personally don't like the `Traversal_()` workaround much, we could name it differently or look at alternatives (like named `using` directives), but I'll let @FlorianHockmann have a look at it first.
