If you mean the binding-ws-runtime-jaxws-ri module which uses the base JDK6 classes then yes i agree that would be ideal but it doesn't work very well yet, the axis2 based binding is the only one that works completely presently, eg http://apache.markmail.org/message/75njrpcrsizxkhdo
