I'm a llittle lost: what does "it" refer to? 2.0 beta will be probably in 2-3 weeks. It will be the new legacy; the previous legacy--1.0.3.1--will be defined as "Windows 95" only. Given that the process of critique, revision, critique, revision will probably take a couple of weeks (at leas), it may be reasonable to anticipate the coincidence of a beta for 2.0 around the time the new design is ready.
