We have a third one, the SDK ;-) Ok the SDK depends on an installed Office but it is a separate product as well.

Yeah, well right I have been mixing things up and simplified matters a little bit and you are right that we should better think about 3 products and make a differentiation between the UDK base and the SDK containing it and the OpenOffice.org API stuff. But well current you can only get the UDK by downloading the SDK so as long as we do not have a separate download page for the UDK we do only have 2 products right?

no, you can download the URE (UNO Runtime Environment). To develop for an URE you need the SDK. The SDK can be configured to work with an URE or an Office. It is not optimal because the SDK offers to many office related examples/documentation which make no sense in the context of an URE (currently). But we wanted to keep it simple (maybe we have mist the target) Three products where one (the SDK) depends on at least one of the other (URE or office)
