In addition to the engine update, we will also be installing a couple of
new extensions (in addition to the existing ones):
- SpecialInterwiki
- DisplayTitleExtension
- IDLTagExtension (a custom written tag to handle IDL tags in the
Developer's Guide documentation).
Functionally the updated Wiki looks and feels the same, but the
updates will allow us to use some of the new features and
functionality available in the latest version of MediaWiki.
Hi Clayton,
I was wondering if you will be listing which of, if any of, new
functionality will be available?
Specifically, will the new installation allow use of the query api ?
I will be documenting everything in a maintenance page that should be
ready at the same time as the roll over to the new Wiki engine. That
should include a list of extensions, links back to their homepages where
applicable etc.
What part of the query api doesn't work now in the existing Wiki
install? I assume you mean the built in MediaWiki API? or are you
referring to a different one (extension)?
C.
