That's not true - see for example the (outdated) news from the
api-project:

I'm saying that the news page shows no intro and I mean the HTML page,
not the RSS feed (which shows more, that's true).
What I mean is that we would have to duplicate _manually_ the news page
on the announcements list, and that simply makes no sense. Some form of
web scraping would be needed to save the effort anyway.
