To move R interpreter forward, Make CI test pass is i think the only and the biggest obstacles right now. I'm still testing CI with master branch and R Interpreter branch, and it will take some time, more than my initial expectation while it's bit hard to reproduce the failing test in my machine. but anyway, making CI test pass is matter of time, there's no technical barrier. So, once figured out why R Interpreter branch didn't pass the test and resolution for it, then you can create new PR from your new branch. That would conflict to master since your new branch is based on 0.5.5 but fixing those conflict shouldn't be too hard. Will this steps works for you Amos?
