i don't like that idea. if we have to go that direction i would much rather use
Date in cases where it will be human readable, but i'm not really a fan of that
either. there are very few places that we need System.currentTimeMillis() lets
just fix those. did we just put getLastResponseTime in the connection
statistics because we happened to have it or because someone requested it?
