How about we add sqlrelay support?

http://sqlrelay.sourceforge.net/

Then, out of the box we can support:

Oracle  MySQL
mSQL    PostgreSQL
Sybae   DB2
Interbase       Lago
SQLite

And sqlrelay may help with database connection pooling.
