Hi Brad, Sorry but answering questions with questions are bit trivial and no productive. This is a real concern as we are in the market to make use of openchange and we see this as a viable alternative to Microsoft therefore the questions about the production readiness of openchange is relevant and if we do not have the skills to install and maintain openchange we will pay someone to do it for us. We are not shooting down Zen or Sogo in any regards we are just expressing our views related to our experience with the product.
With Zentyal Microsoft outlook kept on disconnecting. If it was not an openchange issue then it could have been a samba issue etc... this is why we are directing the question to Julien. This is in no way a negative question or reflecting negatively on the product. Like I said, we are in the market to use openchange but we need to know when the team invasions the release of a stable version that can be implemented into a serious production environment as (ready to use) product or even ready to be sold type of a product. This is the level of ready that I want to find out. To ask me (the end user) how and what... is not the appropriate course of action. This question is a discovery process to decide if we should hold back a bit on openchange or should be go with it. Or the alternatives go with Microsoft. So thanks for your views but it does not help me in making decisions. So you don't think you can maintain it? Then perhaps it is not for you at this stage. If no-one tests openchange, or bugs (with diagnostics information) don't get reported, then it will take longer. If people help - code, bug reporting, testing of old bugs, documentation - it'll get better quicker. See Julien's guidance to Sven, or ask for more guidance if you need help identifying, reporting and fixing bugs.
