I second this. I see no reason why tls support is not compiled by
default into the openser package (and why we keep this dual package
thing).
TLS can be enabled/disabled at runtime so it only means an extra
installation dependency, but that's hardly an issue.
I agree! Maybe on embedded devices it is relevant to have a non SSL
version, but probably they do not use debian packages.
OK, so the patch from Mikael Magnusson with tls enabled by default
should do it. In the case someone (by some circumstances) still wants to
build non-tls package can do it.
