In CVS head you mean of course, not in 4.3.0 or earlier.  Just 
wanted to clarify that.

Another caveat however, is that when distributions start
upgrading to 4.4.0, many apps compiled on 4.4.0 will get linked
dynamically instead of statically, and will not run on systems
that have 4.3.0 installed.  A necessary pain of course that can't
really be avoided however, but it's going to be a fun time with 
bug reports.  ;o)
