And has a few issues:( But I think by the time MMBase-1.6 will be
released Tomcat 4.1 can be adviced, but we still need to try to be
tomcat 4.0.x compatible, because a lot of users can't upgrade their
server every time.....
I mailed the userlist a few weeks ago about a new update of my_editors.
But I do think the jsp-editors can not be considered 'core' mmbase. If they
fail to work on tomcat 4.0, then that is too bad. Feel free to fix it, but
since I consider
1. this a problem of tomcat, not of mmbase
2. the jsp-editors to be replacable (SCAN-editors, alternative editors of
e.g. andre)
I developed mine on Orion 1.5.4 and Tomcat 4.0.4 and there are still
only a few bugs in the interface not the code.
I don't really feel like spending effort on this issue myself. Especially
because the combination tomcat 4.0/taglib seems to be to slow for actual use
any way. (and that would seem really hard to fix on the mmbase side)
I believe that my_editors are faster (and they are build with the
same taglib), some people confirmed this, but i'm not really sure
though. Maybe Rob should try them.
