I tested mmbase-src-1.6.0-rc1: one bug found and some minor remarks.

1. Bug: in the editwizard inside <list /> it is not possible to upload
images and attachments. So in the following summary everything works;
except <command name="startwizard" /> will not return an image.
This bug will be fixed in the release candidate #2 (just fixed it yesterday, actually).
See the bugtracker:
http://194.109.137.107:8080/bugtracker/jsp/fullview.jsp?bugreport=3563

2. Remark: as always under Orion 1.5.2 xalan.jar and xerces.jar have to
be replaced by the ones provided in the MMBase release.
True, the release notes should mention that.
I heard something similar is true for tomcat but I am not sure (can someone verify?).

3. Remark: jspsmartupload.jar is not provided in the MMBase release, but
is necessary for uploading in the editwizards
The jspsmartupload.jar is included in the WEB-INF/lib dir of the binary distro, but it is posisble that it is not inluded in the source distro.
You can download it by running the build script, or you can download the libraries seperately (there's no link on the download page though, iirc... maybe this should be added).

4. Remark: after switching on SCAN i was not able to run the SCAN
editors because of a "No Processor specified in page" - error. Does
anybody know what this means and how it can be resolved.
Did you turn on all the modules?
"No Processor specified in page" means (IIRC) that a needed SCAN module cannot be found. I'll test this myself later today.

5. Remark: in the logs i get lots of "org.mmbase.util.XMLErrorHandler -
line:3 column:-1: Attribute "extends" is not declared for element
"builder" " I suppose this is because XML checking is active. Is there a
switch by which i could set XML checking to inactive?
It seems that you use an old dtd.
If you remove the builder_1_1.dtd in config/dtd MMBase will use the dtd included in mmbase jar. I guess this needs some comments in the release notes.
I don't think you can turn xml checking off, btw.

6. Remark: My compliments to the release team!
On behalf of the release team, thank you for testing!
