Generally dirs in java already seem to be unnecessarly deep... I don't think there is a need for an extra package, and conceptually I feel that 'media' is somehting which belongs to 'mmbase' not to 'mmbase applications' or so.. The directory org.mmbase in de core-cvs will remain clean, no matter how many applications are added, because they will be in a different CVS-module (hence be checked out in a different dir, and compiled to another jar).
