And now the problem. what if we want to send email from the core?
I don't think there will be places in the Core where we will be sending email.
If people expect that we will, then it is probably best to define a 'messaging' interface. We would not necessarily need an implementation, the interface andf a way tyo obtain it would be enough.
However, I would suggest to not make it email specific.
