It is not. It is in the community appliction.

IIRC, the only thing what you did was setting it to inactive in _the community
appllication_, which makes no sense because the community application is
only useful if this module is active.

I set it back to active.

The community appliciation is installed in the distro, and therefore in the
distro you find an active communityprc, but not because that is in
config/modules in CVS , it is in applications/community/config/modules.

I could agree with that. (But only if also the example entry-pages are fixed
then.....).
