hello Jan I thought exacly like jou and i did a project with a struts clone (very comparable). I totaly came back from it, becouse the added complexity is not worth the added benefit. Specially becouse the taglib is so powerfull. Actually i am at this moment reworking this particural site and am getting rid of my 'struts'. I think struts is ok if you have a lot of backend buisiness logic and/or don't have your data allready wrapped with some object/relational thing (like mmbase) .
