I assume the wifi connection is associating, but are you also getting an address, gateway and DNS server assigned? On Windows, you can check using the "ipconfig /all" command from the command prompt.
If so, perhaps DNS is broken but direct connections are working? You can check by pinging a host by IP (for example 74.125.132.99 should reply).
